The You Award Awarded to an individual whose unique traits or atypical approach to life merit positive acknowledgement; an award for just being you. Brent Gregorio, RECIPIENT OF THE 2004 YOU AWARD NOMINATOR'S
STATEMENT He went to the High School of Art and Design in Manhattan and subsequently to Brooklyn College where he has been studying design/graphics. He has always worked part-time to support himself and pay his way through college. His studies are extremely important to him. I met Brent when he started going to college and I offered him a job working with us doing various chores around the office. He was practically working full-time, not only doing everything we asked but, more importantly, also anticipating our needs. If I coughed, he heard me from the other side of the office and would appear with a glass of water and a big smile on his face. He always makes sure that no one worries about anything and quietly handles the situation. He does not always remember to get paid and we have to make sure that he records his time in order to compensate him. The remarkable thing is that, in addition to doing all he does for us, he behaves in the exact same fashion with our clients, his family and his friends: Brent is always there when you need him and even when you don't realize you need him. He goes way beyond the call of duty to make everyone's life easier. He will turn his schedule upside down in order to help you out. He will go the extra mile and never tell you he did. He has quietly made himself invaluable to our clients and to us. He is truly a unique person. With his continuously positive, "no problem" attitude, I feel he deserves the You Award, along with our gratitude. 2008 The You Award Recipient 2007 The You Award Recipient 2006 The You Award Recipient 2005 The You Award Recipient |
