Andrew Cappetta, RECIPIENT OF THE 2007 KNACK AWARD
NOMINATOR'S
STATEMENT
Andrew has made “above and beyond the call of duty” part of his job description as Senior Assistant of the Whitney Museum Education Department. His consistently cheerful, smiling persona coupled with his confidence and professional expertise has made him an integral part of the effective and smooth running of the department. Andrew is also a connoisseur of art, food and music (especially music) and has shared his knowledge and infectious joy of each with everyone he comes in contact with. Along with a rich appreciation of the arts Andrew has an uncanny ability with all things electronic and digital. A normal day finds Andrew staying late, beyond museum hours, often to help out other staff members who are experiencing technical difficulties. His willing and generous spirit, his intelligence and his warm, expressive nature have made life easier for everyone around him. Andrew is a bright light in so many ways and he definitely has the knack for getting things done! Further congratulations are due to Andrew – he is now pursuing graduate studies in art history at The Graduate Center, CUNY.
